Emotional Health in the Learning Environment: Your Toolkit for Success Lessons 3A & 3B
Have you seen any of the emotional triggers you explored in Lesson 2 in your students? Have you identified students who suffer from anxiety low self-confidence, or frustration? And have you tried the techniques we suggested yet? Have your objectives been more visible and have you co-created and reviewed them with your students? What about mistakes? Have you begun celebrating them so that your students benefit from more flexibility in viewing the process of learning? And what about assessments? Have you thought more carefully about what you are going to include in them and discussed the criteria with your students?
I'm hoping that you have and that you already see differences in your students' attitudes.
Now we're going to delve into three more common emotional triggers that block learning:
- confusion
- impatience
- stubborness
Are you ready to find out how to recognise these symptoms, and most importantly - how to mitigate them? I'm sure you are, so let's go!!!
