Scaffold and Lesson for Winter Celebrations (Young Learners)

$6.00

This is a way to foster connection, acceptance, knowledge of other cultures, creativity, through six (6) different subjects. You are going to be amazed at the participation and the conversations you’ll have with your students. This lesson has long-lasting reaches that can be used just before the winter holidays, or stretched out beyond as a way of processing the return to school after this long break.

Here is a lesson to celebrate cultures all over the world who use music, colour, lights, food, to vanquish the darkness. Replete with stories, templates, videos, links, activities, sports, dance, songs, and so much more. What are the differences in the celebrations? More importantly, what do they share? How do they promote connection? You are going to be amazed at the excitement and conversations this lesson evokes.

The lesson has six (6) parts:

  • Reading
  • Science
  • Music
  • Art
  • Maths
  • P.E.

In each part, you’ll have a question challenge, scaffolding, an appropriate activity, and a formative assessment. Examples of conversations and assessments grids are given to help you to guide your young learners in this adventure through winter celebrations around the world.
