step by step…

  1. Use template.
  2. Add images for all information.
  3. Put the descriptions of each planet found on the first page of the template on the floor ………………………
  4. Print out a table for each pair of student (page 2 of template) and ……………………………
  5. Students work in pairs or groups of three doing the following:
    • Write the description of the planet they feel is appropriate – …………………………..
    • (Example: This description is justified because of the word ‘rings. Jupiter has many rings./This description makes sense because of the word ‘mountain’. This planet looks like it has mountains.’)
    • Write a 1-2 sentence justification. (…………………………………….. In this way, students are writing each description at least twice, thus internalising it more profoundly.
    • Find the names of past …………………………………….

5. Play the video.

6. Students make changes ………………………………..they’ve chosen for each planet while and after they watch the video.
